Welcome to Best Little Aussies! Located in Stephenville, Texas Or Granbury, Texas we have more than 20 years of experience raising quality Australian Shepherds, with a focus on producing healthy, beautiful Toy Australian Shepherd puppies with the intelligence, personality and versatility Aussies are known for—in a smaller package.

Our Toy Aussies generally mature around 12–14 inches tall and approximately 12–20 pounds, although adult size can never be guaranteed. We carefully plan each pairing with an emphasis on health, temperament, structure and breed type, backed by generations of proven dogs within our breeding program.

Our breeding dogs receive comprehensive genetic testing, and we incorporate OFA health testing throughout our program. Puppies are raised in our home and receive early socialization, ENS and our modified Puppy Culture program to help prepare them for life with their new families.

Our Toy Australian Shepherds are bred to be versatile companions. They are small enough to fit comfortably into everyday family life while still being sturdy, athletic and ready for adventures. We strive for moderate, manageable temperaments that can enjoy an active day with their family and settle down at home afterward.

Born August 14, 2026, Moose and Diamond welcomed two gorgeous red babies:

We expect these two to mature as Toy Aussies under 14" and approximately 12–16 lbs.

This is a pairing packed with some of our favorite, proven lines. Diamond is a beautiful 12", 13 lb blue-eyed girl from CH Ranger × CH Ruby. CH Moose is a Slugger × Seeker son, with Seeker coming from Chrome × Oakley—bringing together generations of dogs we know and love behind these babies.

We’re especially excited about the potential in this cross for beautiful breed type, great coats, correct structure, and the wonderful Aussie temperament we work so hard to preserve in a smaller Toy package.

With only two puppies in this hand, the odds were definitely in our favor. 😉 We can’t wait to watch these two develop!

Fall is officially here, and we couldn’t think of a sweeter theme for these three little girls! Meet our Apple Orchard Litter:

We are really excited about this cross. Lily is a beautiful 12.75″, 13 lb red tri girl with a sweet, balanced temperament. She is full-panel clear and comes from some of our favorite proven lines, including Int CH Best Little Red Hot and Blue R-2 × EGr CH FlyingH Best Little Red Rosie in Texas R-2.

Moose is a 12.5″, 12 lb Champion male who brings some of our longtime favorite toy lines together, including Slugger, Seeker, Chrome, and Oakley.

Together, Lily and Moose bring generations of dogs we know and love into one tiny package. ❤️ We expect these girls to mature as true Toys under 14″ and around 12–14 lbs. This pairing was chosen with structure, temperament, health, and breed type in mind—not just pretty colors.

The Apple Orchard girls are being raised in our home with early neurological stimulation (ENS), our modified Puppy Culture–based socialization program, and early litterbox and crate-training foundations. They’ll grow up experiencing everyday household life, other dogs, people, new surfaces, sounds, and plenty of age-appropriate adventures.

At just a week old, we have lots of growing and changing ahead, but we are already smitten with these three little fall girls. 🍂🍎
