Mini Australian Shepherd Puppies in Texas

Best Little Aussies has been raising quality Australian Shepherds for more than 20 years in Texas. Our Mini Australian Shepherd puppies are bred for families who love the intelligence, loyalty and versatility of the Australian Shepherd but prefer a more compact companion.

Our Mini Aussies generally mature around 14–17 inches tall and approximately 20–30 pounds, although adult size can never be guaranteed. This size offers a wonderful balance for families looking for a dog that is still easy to travel with and manage in the home while being sturdy and athletic enough for an active lifestyle.

We carefully plan each litter with an emphasis on health, temperament, structure and breed type. Our breeding program includes comprehensive genetic testing and OFA health testing, with generations of proven dogs behind many of our puppies.

Our puppies are raised in our home with early socialization, ENS and our modified Puppy Culture program. We focus on producing intelligent, confident and adaptable companions that can enjoy adventures with their families while also learning how to settle and relax at home.

Located in Stephenville, Texas, Best Little Aussies serves families throughout Texas and across the United States. Flight nanny options from DFW and delivery options may be available for families who are not within driving distance.

Meet Rowdy & Rascal, two gorgeous blue merle boys from Phoenix × Ruger!

Born September 1st and ready for their new adventures October 27th, these boys are expected to mature around 13–15" tall. At this point, it looks like one may stay in the toy range, while the other will likely mature as a small mini.

Phoenix is a Rimmy × Classy daughter, bringing some fantastic genetics and lines to this pairing. We are excited to watch these two boys grow and see their personalities develop over the next several weeks.

We have been looking forward to this cross! Delta and Ranger complement each other beautifully and bring together health-tested, proven lines with the structure, temperament, and versatility we value in our program.

Delta is a petite 12″ and 11 lbs with OFA Good hips and normal patella and cardiac evaluations. She is genetically clear on her panel with the exception of being a DM carrier. As a carrier, she is not affected by DM, and she was paired appropriately with a clear male.

Ranger is 13.75″ and approximately 18 lbs with OFA Excellent hips and full-panel clear genetic testing. He has also proven himself beyond the show ring with his Rally Obedience accomplishments and working ability as a medical alert dog. He brings the intelligence, trainability, structure, and temperament we love in our Aussies.

We expect these boys to fall into that perfect large Toy/small Mini range at approximately 13–15″ tall and around 20 lbs mature. We expect versatile little Aussies with enough substance to keep up with an active family while still being a very manageable size.

Like all of our puppies, the Into the Woods boys are being raised in our home with early neurological stimulation (ENS), our modified Puppy Culture–based socialization program, and early litterbox and crate-training foundations. As their personalities develop, we’ll share more about each boy’s energy level, temperament, and strengths to help find the best fit for each puppy.
