If you’re looking for a real ranch horse with depth, soundness, and cow, this is your gelding.

We are the only owners since purchasing him as a two-year-old from Tarleton State University, and his entire life has been thoughtfully managed. He is broke, steady, and correct — but absolutely not used up. In reality, he likely has less mileage than most 8-year-olds, despite his age.

He has been used seasonally every spring and fall to:

• Gather, wean, and process cattle (branding, sorting etc)
• Doctor wheat pasture cattle
• Load bulls
• Bushwhack after rogue cows
• Step up every time when we were in a bind

He was shown in SHOT as a 3–4 year old, then went on to do what he was bred for — ranch work. He is a push horse, not a pull, stays between your legs, and is extremely cowy. He has been roped extensively in the pasture, though never out of the box.

📖 A Quick Backstory (Because It Matters)
I personally bred his dam. A little extra “Bucky” semen, a last-minute decision, and a mare that stuck when no one expected it. When his DNA didn’t match the listed sires at TSU, it raised questions — but when I saw his dam, I knew exactly who he was. He was coming home, no question about it.

This gelding does not have to go anywhere. He’s only offered because I need to focus on my younger horses. He has earned his place here many times over.
